Just shows how much The Wanted are working for...
Interviewer: Give us an idea of the struggle you've got to, to get yourselves were you are today..
Tom: To start with, The X Factor and Reality TV shows, kind of took over the country for the last 6-7 years. For a band like us that didn't come off there, was really really difficult. People gave us a lot of respect because we didn't have that platform and we built ourselves the traditional way. And you know what, I'm proud of ourselves that we did do it the traditional way because it give us a lot more satifaction when we go and get that Number 1 and we think that we have really put the hard work in. And I mean, it's paying off in the states. We're up in the top 5 on itunes and it's growing over in Canada aswell. So yeah, it's all going really well an I'm proud of ourselves!
Interviewer: I know you guys are like a quintet, you harmonise and things. Somebody plays guitar? At least two of you?
Tom: All of us play instruments.
Interviewer: All of you?
Tom: Well, me and Siva play guitar. Max plays bass. Nath plays piano and Jay plays drums.
Interviewer: Do you do it in concert?
All: Yeah
Interviewer: Ohhh
Jay: It's like basically we like to think of ourselves as a bit of a hybrid of the boyband thing so we do stand and sing really tight harmonies when we have to but also, sometimes it's nice to get out an instrument .. and just .. show it to everyone.
Nathan: You what?
Tom: Get your instrument out and show it to everyone!
All: *laugh*
